About Us

Footsteps Day Nursery and Preschool at 40 Reading Road, Farnborough, offers a spacious, vibrant and caring environment, specialising in quality care and Early Years Education for children aged 3 months to 5 years of age. The nursery is open from 7.30am to 6.30pm, 51 weeks a year. The experienced management are supported by a well trained and highly qualified team of childcare professionals. As part of Casterbridge Nurseries we have specialist support facilities to ensure that we are offer the highest standards of childcare, child development and safety.

We work closely with parents and carers both on a day to day basis and through our Parent Nursery Association, via which parents have an input into the development and activities of the nursery.

Our nursery and preschool specialises in offering holistic care, placing an emphasis on well balanced, interesting and nutritious meals, designed by a specialist cook, who also helps children to develop an interest in cooking and growing their own food.

We believe that each child deserves the best possible start in life and the support to fulfil their potential. A child's experience in the early years has a major impact on their future. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important and when parents or carers chose a nursery or preschool they want the assurance that the provision will keep their children safe and support them to thrive. The government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the framework which the nursery follows in order to provide that assurance.

'Children are cared for in a welcoming, child-friendly environment. They enter the nursery confidently and have the benefit of being accommodated in age related base rooms, which helps them to feel settled and safe. All rooms are brightly decorated with the children's work, which creates a relaxed and pleasant environment that the children can enjoy. Children use a range of safe, good quality and developmentally appropriate resources. Children have daily access to outside play and regularly spend time in the soft play room, developing a range of physical skills.'
