Crafty cooks get creative

Each week Yusuf is carrying out a cooking activity with the children, he adapts a recipie or activity each week to suit the age range of the children in the room he is in.

The babies enjoyed making biscuite last week, they were able to pat and mix the ingredients aswell as use teh cutters to make a shape.

Our toddlers had fun making scones with Yusuf he taught them about what ingredients he will use as well as weights and measures.

Preschool have enjoyed making pasta from scratch, lots of discussion was had with reagrds to ingridients they could use and the pasta squashing machine was a big hit, the children all took some home to share with their families.

The cooking activities provide us with endless learning oportunities, with lots of scope to cover the EYFS in all areas.
